Mark Collinson
VP of Fusion Engineering
As Vice President of Fusion Engineering and Operations at Zap Energy, Mark Collinson oversees the company’s technical fusion roadmap and rapid innovation cycles.
Collinson brings extensive experience in technical engineering, operations, and program management to the team developing Zap’s fusion technology. Prior to Zap, he gained 8 years of operations experience at Blue Origin, and 9 years of design engineering and manufacturing experience at Kenworth Truck Company. At Blue Origin, Collinson was Senior Director of Operations Strategy, and held roles such as the Director of Integrated Supply Chain, and Director of New Glenn Manufacturing and Test. He led teams that included Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Blue Production System, Data Science and Analytics, Project Management, and an R&D Machine Shop. Collinson earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington State.
